Focaccia – tomato mozzarella sandwich

Focaccia, the original Italian flatbread, is a delicious base for a sandwich. When combined with sun-ripened tomatoes and top-quality mozzarella, you prepare a perfect dish for the lunch menu.

 

PREPARATION:

Bake the focaccia for two minutes in our Donna Italia stone oven. Cut the focaccia in half crosswise and top one half with pesto, mozzarella, tomato, basil and black olives if desired. Put the other half on top and cut the bread into four parts.
